Here at ICGC Faith & Miracle Temple, we are fully aware of the various increasing threats and hazards facing churches today. We are familiar with the fact that a gathering such as a church is a vulnerable place. We also know that a member or guest that feels secure will be able to focus squarely on the reason they are at church, to begin with, to build a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, without the fear of so many of the dangers in today’s world. This is the reason why proactive steps have been taken to form the Security Department to provide a sense of safety to our members and guests including children.
our purpose
The main purpose of the department is to provide protection to all people attending church services and special events.
our Membership
The department is made up of a team of spiritually sound and
physically able volunteers, including retired and serving military
and law enforcement personnel.
Membership of the department is opened to all ICGC Faith & Miracle
Temple members who are physically capable, qualified to serve, and
willing to respond to the security needs of our church in the event
of emergencies.
other roles and responsibilities
This team works selflessly to help the Security Department to perform the following additional roles:
- Development and revision of security plan for our church.
- Management and provision of security at our car park.
- Manage traffic flow.
- Assist our church to create a security policy in event of emergencies such as fires, violent entries, fights, attacks, shootings, etc.
- Assist our church to purchase the needed safety and security logistics and equipment.
- Ensure that we are always prepared for emergencies.
- Audit our church access control system.
- Train our church members, leaders, and worker about security matters.
